Company Switch

The power distribution systems of many facilities such as theaters, convention centers, arenas and auditoriums often require specialized panelboards for connection of portable electrical equipment. The electrical power for these temporary systems is fed by a specialized distribution panel, commonly known as a “company switch”.

enclosure, main circuit breaker, receptacles and
phase indicator lights.

Power Distribution Boxes: Standard Distros

Standard Power Distribution Box and Boxes that are designed around a system approach to power distribution. By combining a number of these power distribution boxes, a user can easily distribute thousands of Amps of 3 Phase power and safely branch down to multiple 20, 60 and/or 100A. circuits. The use of aluminum enclosures creates a lightweight portable power box, yet rugged unit that is easy to transport. The portable power distribution boxes have a carrying handle and non-marring rubber feet as a standard. Depending on the version of distro box, some units have panel mount input and while other distro boxes have pigtail inputs. All branch circuits are breaker protected and wired or bussed with copper conductors. These power distribution boxes are safe, efficient and affordable.

  • Enclosures are anodized 5052-H32 marine grade aluminum.
  • UL Listed 10,000 AIC branch rated breakers protect each circuit.
  • Connector types available: Stage Pin, Straight Blade, Twist lock, Cam, Pin & Sleeve, 19 Pin
  • All DistroBoxes are UL listed for use in the United States and Canada.
